Started this thread as our trucks begin to take wear parts issues. My truck has 52k miles. Shocks demand to be replaced/rebuilt. Based on toll, I elected to have mine rebuilt by Fox. Expert news is the shocks are being rebuilt by the manufacturer . Bad news is the turn around fourth dimension is two to iii weeks. Trick doesn't offer an exchange programme.

So for those of us that oasis't gotten to that bespeak, how could you tell it was time? Have you lot washed a good amount of off roading or mostly street like your miles would suggest? And what is the neb for replacing and rebuilding?

    Thanks in advanced.

Rule of pollex on the Pull a fast one on shocks has e'er been 50k miles and rebuild. In that location are well known rebuilders with exchange program and better pricing than FOX. Check the other Raptor Forums and yous volition observe them. The most popular is a guy out of Pennsylvania if I recall correctly.

2 things seem to happen overnight. The ride started to suffer. Hitting hard on bumps I never actually call back feeling earlier. Secondly, the vehicle started to search left to correct. Had to make an effort to keep the truck direct. Almost all my driving has been on road not off road.

I chose to utilize Fox based on my feel with a vendor that came highly recommended on the forums that did an exchange program. Let's only say I wouldn't do it twice. Fox was smashing over the phone explaining their process and possible turnaround fourth dimension. The turnaround time is based off how many racers are in forepart of you lol

I agree, if needed to rebuild I would go with Fox

Congrats on your shocks lasting that long! Fox indicated the shocks are all-time evaluated on a case by instance basis. They have racers using their shocks that typically rebuild every 5k. They did say it's not uncommon to have daily drivers rebuild at the 50k mark.
